And the exceptions are almost always goalies, and on Sunday night, like I did with Vejmelka on Sunday.

Of the 9 stats that count for skaters, the only one that can go down is the +/- rating. So its best to start everyone you can. The "start active players " button is a great way to do that. Though, double check afterwards, as sometimes you can move things around and squeeze an extra playing skater or 2 into your active lineup for the day.

Really close between the top 4, with plenty of season left for others to make up ground.

That IR can be frustrating. I've swallowed a lot of games trying to hang onto solid players that are out for weeks without making the IR. :hn

It really is. But close only counts in horseshoes, hand grenades, and hydrogen bombs. And it's in your favor. That shutout of yours is going to make things tough for me on the goaltending side. I could use my players waking up a bit more all across the board. Someone get them some better smelling salts, please?

Brother, I've been up 9-2 going into the weekend and lost 2-9. More than once. I don't sweat things until Saturday, and by then you can be so far up or so far down in certain categories that it doesn't even matter.

I try to remember it's for fun, and that it's 5 cigars for 6 months of fun. But sometimes I get obsessed too. ;) :lr

And can't sweat one week, no matter how much it's nice to win. It's a marathon. :2

Wow. Got spanked!

Good luck to those remaining. What a strange year this has been. So many teams that were "locks" for the playoffs in the pre season are not going to make it and vice versa. So many goalies that were steady last year were sieves and some others were surprisingly fantastic.

The only predictable thing year to year that happened yet again? Tom at the top of the standings. :r

Top of the standings means little if you get ousted in the playoffs. Like you did to me last year. :D
